Holistic Clicker Training – Day 2 | Hoof Care & Tackless Trust with Valentine and River

Day 2 of our Holistic Clicker Training Program at Starr Horse Retreats brought new lessons in trust and care.

Students learned the essentials of lifting hooves and hoof care, then watched a beautiful first—three-year-old Valentine carrying a rider completely tackless. They also witnessed River trotting freely without tack, demonstrating the deep partnership that positive reinforcement can create.

In the arena, each student practiced target and cone exercises with their horse partners, strengthening communication through connection rather than control.
