Easter Sunday at Standing Rock Ranch in Grass Valley, California — The next chapter of Starr Horse Retreats Rancho Rico is now in contract, and while we will always love that land and everything it taught us, we are stepping forward into something bigger.
There is a deeper alignment in the timing. Rancho Rico went into contract on Good Friday. Standing Rock Ranch was secured on Easter Sunday. Death and rebirth. Closing one chapter and opening another.
If all goes as planned, the herd will arrive in June. They will be living on expansive rolling hills, under oak trees, alongside rivers and ponds, overlooking a pristine lake. Space to roam. Space to breathe. Space to be horses.
The horse infrastructure needs rehabilitation, and we are stepping in with full commitment to restore, rebuild, and honor this land as it deserves.
This is the next evolution of Starr Horse Retreats. Grass Valley, California. Standing Rock Ranch. We are coming home.
