At our recent horse healing retreat, students practiced the “around-the-world” bareback exercise—spinning around on the horse’s back and leaning forward to hug the horse’s butt. It’s a fun, trust-building activity that brings out big smiles and deep connection. Even though it was a cold, windy day and the ground was muddy, the joy was real. Afterward, we headed out on a beautiful trail ride with the herd.
This is what partnership looks like—no saddles, no force. Just presence, trust, and play.
