Wild Mustang Halo Learns Clicker Training in Minutes

Halo, our new mustang, had her first clicker training session at Starr Horse Retreats, and she took to it so naturally. When we took the three-year-olds out into the back ten acres, Halo followed Valentine and Solar’s lead and placed all four feet on the tires in the obstacle course. It was incredible to watch how quickly she understood the game.

After the training session, when we were standing around talking, we saw Halo’s true colors come forward. She flirted with Solar, kicking and shooing him away in the exact same way the herd had been doing to her over the past several days. It was a beautiful moment when she stepped into her own power and began to claim her place.

These three year olds are going to grow up together, and witnessing their friendships forming is something truly special.
