Standing Rock Ranch Restoration | Part 2: Main House Tour & Wolf Creek

Part 2 of the tour of Standing Rock Ranch, the future home of Starr Horse Retreats.

In Part 2, I reveal the upper portion of the ranch, including the Mission-style main house with its big veranda, swimming pool, and tennis court, along with a tour of the home’s 5-bedroom, 4-bath interior.

Wolf Creek, which flows through the property, played an important role in California’s Gold Rush. Placer gold was discovered here in 1848, and the creek became one of the earliest mining sites in the Grass Valley district before the region grew into one of the richest hard-rock gold mining regions in the world.

Standing Rock Ranch spans 100 acres and was once a 26-stall Thoroughbred breeding farm.

Today marks the beginning of a new vision. We are restoring the ranch and creating spaces for horse-guided retreats, workshops, community, and healing.

I’m documenting the journey from the very beginning so you can watch the transformation unfold with us, one project at a time.
