Horse Herd Playing in the Rain

The herd was full of energy today after a cool spell and a light summer rain. Horses ran, rolled, bucked, and played in the mud. It was pure fun. This is what happens when horses have freedom, forage, fitness, and friends. They live in a herd, move as they choose, and connect to the elements.

This is how horses were meant to live. When we contain them in barns, we take away their natural way of being. It’s time to rethink what we’ve normalized.
