A Wild Mustang Meets Her Match: Day 2 at Starr Horse Retreats

Day two of Halo’s integration. Today we introduced her to a few more herd members, including three-year-old Valentine, who is the same age as Halo. We are still keeping some of the more dominant herd members separate in the back ten acres to give Halo space to adjust at her own pace.

After barn time, I rearranged the gates so the more dominant horses remained in the back ten acres overnight, while Halo was able to experience both the East Field and the West Field safely and peacefully.
