Positive Reinforcement Hoof Trimming

Valentine, our one year old filly, had a big aversion to touching her legs and feet when we got her in May. Her hooves began to grow too long and we needed to get them trimmed, however, she kicked hard if you touched her legs. We trailered Valentine to Ari Krause place at Haven Horsemanship before I left for my vacation on July 19. She has been there for 11 days and I am thrilled to announce that she is allowing Ari to trim both front and back hooves! This is the most beautiful illustration of positive reinforcement training!
